The rear courtyard blends period fabric with gentle, informal planting. Weathered London stock brick retains its natural patina, punctuated by a crisp white-painted sash window and slender black-framed doors that hint at the interior’s contemporary updates. Soft greenery climbs the boundary walls, while simple terracotta pots and a metal café table bring an understated, lived-in charm to the outdoor space.

Full renovation
Tucked away within the sleepy streets of East London, 10 minutes from Mile End tube is a wonderful slice of London’s historic building stock. Beautifully renovated and tastefully styled our Client bought this gorgeous crumbling house back to life with subtle nods to the past whilst integrating eclectic modern stylings and material flourishes.
The Entrance
The hallway presents a refined interplay of Victorian character and contemporary restraint. Original timber floorboards and a beautifully worn staircase provide a warm, textural foundation, contrasted by lime-washed walls that diffuse light softly down the narrow corridor. Ornamental cornicing hints at the home’s period craftsmanship, while the oversized fabric pendant introduces a modern, sculptural note without disturbing the simplicity of the palette.
“We had a fantastic experience working with Dani and Harry on our renovation … An extremely professional and high quality experience … Thank you Dani and Harry!”

The Bathroom
The bathroom is defined by its calm, tonal palette and considered detailing. Vertical timber panelling in a muted blue-grey sets a refined backdrop for the wall-hung basin and brassware, which bring warmth and tactility. Checkerboard tiles introduce a graphic counterpoint, while the skylight and soft planting lend the room a gentle, elevated brightness.
Master Bedroom
Soft natural light fills the room through elegant arched windows, their sheer café curtains lending a gentle, lived-in ease. Original timber boards and a cast-iron fireplace anchor the space in its Victorian heritage, while pared-back walls, understated artwork and warm pine joinery create a calm, thoughtfully balanced bedroom with a quietly expressive material palette.
Details
Kitchen Sink
This kitchen detail pairs traditional craftsmanship with a quietly modern sensibility. A deep ceramic butler sink sits beneath honed dark stone, its surface contrasted by slim, hand-glazed tiles that rise in a neat vertical rhythm. Brass hardware introduces a soft, warm lustre, while painted timber cabinetry and simple utilitarian objects reinforce the room’s understated, tactile charm.
