Waltham Forest is where My/Architect cut our teeth after setting up shop from our humble beginnings on Hackney Road.
During the 2020 pandemic Waltham Forest experienced a surge of planning applications and construction projects for loft conversions, extensions and renovations take place throughout the borough. We rode this wave and experienced all the highs and lows that come with an unprecedented wave of construction. Needless to say, we survived unscathed and learned a lot of lessons along the way.
We now find ourselves in the fortunate position of having the majority of our experience delivering projects having taken place in Waltham Forest, from Aldersbrook conservation area to the beautiful streets surrounding Walthamstow Village.
Waltham Forest offers and interesting blend of greenery, residential and industrial areas. It has seen a seemingly ceaseless influx of families who have been pushed out of Hackney.
With a wonderful Victorian housing stock, somewhat smaller than that available in Hackney, it’s become a hotbed for development over the recent years. As we’ve managed to embed ourselves within the planning department in Waltham Forest, our team has become highly proficient in achieving planning permission. During this time, we’ve grown our fantastic network of builders who now cover the majority of North London’s boroughs, from Hammersmith and Fulham to Waltham Forest and Haringey.
